What is the Boost Limit of these Valves? How much do you have? We’ve not found a limit on an actual vehicle & this is confirmed on Competition & Record Holding Pro-Mod & Diesel Race Engines reaching for 120psi / Over 8 Bar Boost. The limit is far higher than that – Proven.
OK, so what is the limit of this valve?
The valve is capable of bypassing ~2500HP worth of airflow – meaning it can bypass about 2500HP and seal against 2500HP when required. If you exceed that, it won’t fail or let you down, but you may experience some compressor surge.
What if I am expecting over 2500 HP?
We have two options for you! Firstly, you could simply run an additional GenV RacePort or investigate Turbosmart’s PowerPort range for up to 3000HP of bypass flow capability.
Why Turbosmart RacePort?
Turbosmart sets the bar for flow and footprint! We’re talking 50% lighter and 25% smaller than the competition. Designed with a specialised diaphragm system unique to Turbosmart, the Race Port is the fastest-responding valve on the market.
What Fittings Does it use?
Like all GenV products, the GenV RacePort BOV range is supplied with 1/8th NPT ports and simple hose connection barbs in the box.
Can I upgrade to a Sensor Cap?
Yes! If you own a GenV RacePort, Black Sensor Cap Upgrades kits are available. If you haven’t yet made your purchase, the GenV RacePort range offers the RacePort with Sensor Cap pre-installed as an off-the-shelf item. Note that the GenV Sensor Cap upgrade kits are specific to the GenV range and will not suit Gen4 or earlier versions of the RacePort.
I have a supercharger – Is the GenV RacePort suited to my application?
Yes! The GenV Range includes a supercharger-specific version fitted with a soft spring that operates with supercharged systems. The softer supercharger spring is available as a spare if you already have a standard RacePort.
Does the GenV RacePort fit ‘other’ 50mm flanges?
Yes, if you look through the range of GenV RacePort BOVs from Turbosmart, you’ll see some of them refer to ‘Female Flange’ & this is what you’re after – there’s a unique part number, just for that!
