Product Description

This Remote External Pressure Relief Valve is intended to protect your power steering pump by utilizing a lower relief pressure than the factory internal pressure relief valve of your pump. You will need to set the pressure of your Remote External Pressure Relief Valve lower than your internal valve in your pump which will keep cavitaion and heat out of your pump and let the Remote External Pressure Relief Valve act as insurance for your power steering pump. This is a must have on a drift car, especially if you like to drive at full steering lock.

This unit was designed in the most compact, small footprint that we could make it. It is made out of stainless steel, the -6 fittings for inlet, outlet and return are machined into the body to give the most compact size possible to fit in tight engine bays.

We have included a 90° mounting bracket with hardware for ease of mounting in your engine bay.

The pressure valve has been preset to 1550psi which is lower than our KRC Power Steering Kit Pumps, Turn 1 Pumps and also our BOSCH Power Steering Kit Pumps. If you would like to set your own pressure, you will need to buy a 3000psi test gauge and reset the pressure valve to your preference.

Note:

When plumbing your system with the Remote External Pressure Relief Valve you will need a 3rd port in your reservoir for the bleed off from the return port form your external valve. You will also need to set your pressure relief valve to a minimum of 20psi lower than your current internal relief valve. This will allow the Remote External Pressure Relief Valve to do its job and keep cavitation and heat out of your power steering pump.
